Departure Day!!

Hi guys! :D

Just managed to sort out an online journal to keep you all updated on what I've been up during my big adventure to Uganda.

I'm checking in at 4 this afternoon and when I get to Heathrow I'm going to be meeting our group of 32 for the first time. We are flying out at 7pm to Nairobi and from there to Entebbe where we begin our placement with a 4 day orientation to give us advice on teaching and culture and everything else that's going to be important to know. After the induction course a bus takes us to our different schools. I have a placement with another girl called Rachel in Iblunka Primary School, which is a mixed school of pupils aged 6 to 14, where I've put down to teach English, Maths and Sports. And I'm living with 5 other girls in a self-catering house in the village of Busesa with no running water and sporadic electricty... which is going to be interesting! So that's the basic plan so far..

Right now I'm just at home with my life of 4 months packed into 2 enourmous bags and a hand luggage bag which I'm sure is going to be a problem when I get to check in as one bag was recommended... But I think as long as I can carry them all I'm allowed them all.. So I really hope I can carry them all! I have that weird nervous feeling in my stomach but I am very excited! My parents are almost excited as I am as well!!

I will try and update this as much as possible and write me some comments so I can hear from you all as well!
